What to Pack for Montréal

Excited for the conference? We are too! To make sure you’re ready for anything, here’s a quick guide on what to pack. We can’t wait to see you there.

Stay warm

Montréal weather in September is like a box of chocolates—you never know what you’re gonna get. One minute, you’re basking in a pleasant 20°C, and the next, you’re caught in a downpour or shivering in 10°C. So, packing smart and wearing multiple layers of clothing is the best way to stay comfortable!
A raincoat (or an umbrella), a cozy sweater, long sleeves, jeans, and maybe even wool gloves, a scarf, and a tuque (that’s Canadian for a knit cap) should find their way into your suitcase. Better to over-pack than to freeze, right?

Be comfortable

Montréal is a walkable wonderland, and you’ll want to explore every cobblestone streets and hill. If you’re joining us for the cultural day, make sure those feet of yours are happy by bringing some comfy shoes. Your soles will thank you when you’re conquering those old streets.

Stay hydrated

Montreal has water fountains just about everywhere, so there’s no need to stress about finding water. Remember to bring a reusable bottle: to stay hydrated, saves you a few bucks, and reduces plastic waste.

Power up

In Canada, we’re all about that Type A and B plug life (120 V). Unless you’re planning to go off-grid (which, let’s face it, you’re not), a power adapter is your best friend. Keep those devices charged, or risk missing out on those epic moments you’ll want to share on your socials.

Stay tuned

Speaking of staying connected, brace yourself—Canadian cell service can be as pricey as our maple syrup. So, maybe think twice before streaming those cat videos on the go! If you want to avoid sticker shock, consider setting up a good roaming plan before you arrive. It might just save you from a heart attack when you see your bill!

Relax

Montréal isn’t just about exploring—it’s about unwinding, too. If you’re looking to slow down, pack that bathing suit for a little R&R at one of the city’s many spas or your hotel swimming pool. After all, conference life is all about balance, right?
